Czech Christmas Mass is heading to listeners in the Czech Republic and even to overseas countries

Ceremonial launch of new CD Czech Christmas Mass which was recorded by Boni Pueri together with Pardubice�s chamber philharmonic has been performed tonight. CD is released by a prestige music publishing company ArcoDiva. Sopranos Filip Havl��ek and Adam Peichl and alto Pavel Gee were accompanying dr. Pavel Hor�k, who is director and choirmaster of Czech boys� choir Boni Pueri. New album�s godfathers became Norwegian producer and TV company director Stein Roger Bull, Czech mezzo-soprano Andrea Kalivodov�, conductor Marek �tryncl, Pardubice mayoress MUDr. �t�p�nka Fra�kov�, Opatovice power-station�s development director Ing. Miloslav Decker and dr. Ji�� tilec.
�History of Czech boys� choir Boni Pueri counts nearly thirty years during which we recorded more than 40 CDs. We published most of them via reputable music publishing companies. Because of that we are glad that this CD is released by music agency ArcoDiva. Work on this album was very pleasant and we established a great cooperation with Pardubice�s philharmonic. This work was coming into existence under the baton of conductor and our choirmaster Marek �tryncl. Music director was Jaroslav Kr�ek whom we are glad to meet during interpretation of his work as well as during sever week�s joint Spanish tours. Also new and interesting Boni Pueri�s project is being prepared altogether with our excellent mezzo-soprano Andrea Kalivodov� who wished a lot of excited listeners to our new album,� said Boni Pueri�s director Pavel Hor�k during ceremonial dinner for ensemble�s management, publishing company and its guests.
You will be able to buy new CD in the next few days. CD is also getting ready to be released in overseas countries.

Live record of part of Zelenka�s responsories performed by Boni Pueri in this year�s June is being released these days under the name of Czech days � Impressions and memoirs. Third part of this difficult work was able to listen within prestige festival Concertus Moraviae under the supervision of choirmaster Marek �tryncl. �Good boys� became the only one boys� choir which performed the whole triptych.
�During concert preparations, we enjoyed cooperation with festival director David Hor�k who nowadays works as Czech philharmonic manager. Zelenka belongs to the greatest creators of classical Czech music and he also belongs to the front of Europian late baroque�s composers. Altogether with Czech Christmas Mass recording � which is just being released by music agency ArcoDiva � are Czech dreams becoming 44th recording of our ensemble,� said Boni Pueri�s director and choirmaster Pavel Hor�k. This year festival�s agenda was made by music composer, musicologist and director of Bohuslav Martin��s Institute Ale� B�ezina. Altogether with Boni Pueri another great orchestras appeared on the recording, e.g. Clarinet Factory, Babor�k ensemble and Merel Quartet.

Concert of Czech boys� choir Boni Pueri which as an exclusive guest accepted invitation to the ceremonial 10th International Sacred Music festival commencement attracted hundreds of listeners to the St. Vojt�ch Church in Opava. Concert, on which contributed statutory town Opava and Silesian foundation, was held under the patronage of Ostrava�s and Opava�s bishop Franti�ek V�slav Lobkowicz. Under the organizers� wishes Boni Pueri prepared variety of Czech and world�s classics� works. Besides other things, A. Dvo��k�s, B. Smetana�s, G. Verdi�s and W.A. Mozart�s works were heard. Not only G. Verdi�s composition Pensiero from the Nabucco opera, Dvo��k�s Kyrie, but also Z. Lukᚴs Czech folk compositions � adaptations brought emotions on listeners� faces. Excited audience demanded several additions and rewarded singers by long-lasting standing applause.

Czech boys� choir Boni Pueri�s ceremonial concert for 80 industry men of transnational corporations and for ULI � Urban Land�s conference participants took place in Agnes� Monastery in Prague. Besides other things, compositions Ave Maria, parts of Introitus and Kyrie from Mozart�s Requiem, Anton�n Dvo��k�s composition �Kdy� mne star� matka� and B. Smetana�s �Pro� bychom se net�ili� were heard in St. Salvator�s church. These compositions were performed by thirty singers under the conduction of choirmaster Pavel Hor�k.
�In the center of organizer�s interest for today�s concert was mainly Dvo��k�s music which is very positively perceived by listeners.� With these words Boni Pueri�s director and choirmaster Pavel Hor�k commented on Czech musical genius� successful activity in America. �Good boys� were traditionally accompanied by Jitka Fowler Fra�kov�, pianist with world renown.

Czech boys� choir Boni Pueri accepted extraordinary present from Beata and Tom� Such�nek with a huge pleasure. They bought top-class musical instrument � electronic concert grand piano Yamaha. Pianos of the top quality made by world known brand Yamaha Corporation are highly demanded by artists. Instrument also enthused piano player and vice-president of Czech section of European Piano Teachers Association Jitka Fowler Fra�kov�. She was also the first one who player on this piano during ceremonial launch.
�It is always a pleasure if we are able to make happy someone who really deserves it. Our company DSA had worked its way up into quality and stable company which is mainly carries on air rescue service and it also has the largest flight school in the Czech Republic,� said Ing. Tom� Such�nek, who is the director of mentioned company. Altogether with his wife Beata he ceremonially launched new instrument. �Boni Pueri is quality choir with a huge renown. This present linked these high qualities together," he added.

Boni Pueri inaugurated beneficial concert Chlopinov� nocturne

Beautiful spaces of social house Casino in the centre of Mari�nsk� L�zn� opened to 17th year of Chlopinov� nocturne. Beneficial concert focused to tribute music composer Fr�d�ric Chopin was hosted by Milo� Sk�cel and Luk� Gibiec. Boni Pueri - managed by its choirmaster Pavel Hor�k - performed three times during this ceremonial evening. Czech classics� works, e.g. B. Smetana�s, A Dvo��k�s were able to hear and their performance was awarded by the audience�s huge ovation. Andrea Kalivodov� - front Czech mezzo-soprano and soloist of Prague�s opera - sang arias from Bizet�s opera Carmen and in the second part of the evening she sang A. Dvo��k�s and G. Mahler�s songs. Final composition Panis Angelicus was performed again by "good boys" and got another enormous applause. Andrea Kalivodov� expressed great recognition to all Boni Pueri�s singers after the concert. Gain from concert, on which were attended among others city and region delegates Franti�ek Radkovsk�, Pilsen bishop, government vice-chairwoman Karol�na Peak, will be given to children�s home in Mari�nsk� L�zn�.

Not only top Czech newspapers, but also TVs are paying attention to concert American requiem. "Soloists� performance and also performance of both participating choirs deserves acclaim. In some moments were listeners literally frozen by the power of interpreted music message, written in review. "Even to tears brought listeners performance of Marie Fajtov� in duet with soloist - boy from Boni Pueri in known, heaven-like beautiful song Pie Jesu. This child did not have to feel shame next to the grean professional. The great thanks also belongs to choir master Pavel Hor�k.
Target of this project called American requiem was to honour Day of Remembrance of terror� and violence� victims on the world. 3,500 excited listeners applauded to performers.

The whole America altogether with its president Barack Obama reminded sad 10th anniversary of tragic terrorist attacks on World Trade Centre and the Ministry of Defence. Day of remembrance of violence� victims on the whole world was honoured by visitors of magnific beneficial concert "American requiem" in Pardubice�s �EZ Arena. Czech boys� choir Boni Pueri accepted invitation from Pardubice�s chamber Philharmonic to perform the most famous requiem through eras and continents. 3,400 listeners were listening to works by G. Verdi, W. A. Mozart, S. Barber, A. Dvo��k, J. Rutter and G. Faur�. Boni Pueri�s soloist shone in A. L. Webber�s composition. "Good boys" also received huge recognition from conductor Peter Feranece, also known as chief conductor and artistic director of St. Petersburg�s theatre.
"Boni Pueri�s singers are professionals, co-operation with them was excellent, because they were perfectly prepared. There is fantastic innate discipline among boys and they are also able to spread it among others,� said Philharmonic manager PhDr. Tom� Kr��mar. The whole concert was accompanied by spoken word of actor Sa�a Ra�ilov and priest Zbigniew Czendlik. Through the arena were carrying Vil�m Z�vada�s, Franti�ek Hrub�n�s verses and also Ovidius� timeless work. Both of protagonists were returning to extracts from the First Moses� book or from the Koran. Gain from concert will be given to fire brigade to help them buy new rescuing gear.

Hradec Kr�lov� hosts 14th International congress of osteologists. On Friday�s evening performed Czech boys� choir Boni Pueri under conducticion of choirmaster Pavel Hor�k in the Assumption Virgin Mary�s Church on the Large square during ceremonial commencement of cultural programme for meeting participants. On organizers� demand were performed works of Czech and world masters and also folk songs with interesting adjustments. Concert was also visited by president of congress prof. MUDr. Vladim�r Pali�ka, CSc., dr.h.c.

Extraordinary project of Pardubice�s chamber Philharmonic, which invited Czech boys� choir Boni Pueri and recording agency Arcodiva to co-operate, will bring beautiful present to the listeners in the shape of new CD of Jan Jakub Ryba�s Czech Chrismass Mass. In these days recording finished and will be avaible on the market since the end of September.
�Ryba�s Christmass Mass is known by listeners. We are pleased that they will get new adaption of Ryba�s work, which is based on authenticity, because boys� choir is again adapting this work after two hundread years and because of that listeners will be able to hear sopranos, altos, tenors and basses,� said Boni Pueri�s director and choirmaster Pavel Hor�k.
Music direction is done by the head of Musica Bohemica ensemble Jaroslav Kr�ek, with whom is also Boni Pueri co-operating very often. Orchestra is conducted by conducter Marek �tryncl. Manager of Pardubice�s chamber Philharmonic Tom� Kr��mar is excited from the common project: �Cooperation with Boni Pueri is very interesting and demanded for us. Choir was perfectly prepared and recording proceeded in very pleasant mood. It is about the authenticity of work. The fact that conductor is Marek �tryncl is guarantee for something special.� Record is based on score from 1827. What is interesting is the fact that unlike the original version has this version extended orchestral cast. We chosen for this performance boys� choir, because same assisted to composer. Record is published by production agency Arcodiva and it is said that there will be large demand for this record - and not only in the Czech Republic, but also in foreign countries.

Boni Pueri was shooting for Hollywood

American film company ABC is shooting action series in Prague - called Missing. The story is about CIA agent who is searching for her kidnapped son in Europe. Except of actor stars, which Boni Pueri met "on stage", like Ashley Judd or Sean Bean will also play czech actors - Miroslav �im�nek, Tereza Vo��kov� and Karel Roden. Movie Production said that singers from Boni Pueri were obvious option for them. Along with "good boys" will also act their director and choirmaster Pavel Hor�k. American production appreciated great performance of our singers and they also prepared hearty breakfast for them and film crew. The whole shooting was accompanied by strict security rules.
"Americans are incredibly precious. They are paying attention on the tiniest details and shooting a lot of shots and they are satisfied. I am very happy that our boys got such a appreciation during the shooting - on stage were sixty sopranos and altos. Offer, which we get, was for us totally unexpected and very attractive. We could not wish more interesting start of new season,� said Boni Pueri�s director and choirmaster Pavel Hor�k.
These series should be very emotive and action. It will show up next year in America and it is talking about it like about event of the season. TV station ABC has on the series field very good reputation.

Thirty best sopranists and altos of Czech boys� choir Boni Pueri performed in May on the largest concert in Prague Spring�s history. Performance of 8th Symphony - Gustav Mahler�s Symphony of Thousands visited altogether 17,000 listeners in Prague, Hamburg and Hannover. Great performance of "good boys" was appreciated not only by German critics, but also by Czech musicologists, conductors and choirmasters. This year, Boni Pueri was invited 7th time to perform on Prague Spring.

Concert tour in Lithuania closed Boni Pueri�s season

Boni Pueri has performed as a guest of honour on the International festival of the art schools of choir singing in St. Peter�s and Paul�s Cathedral in �iauliai in Lithuania. Travel to Lithuania was financially supported by Czech Ministry of Culture. As a first performer has performed choir Dagilesis in front of the full hall. Boni Pueri has received Lithuanian choir Dagilesis in its home city Hradec Kr�lov� on April and at these days were our boys able to say hello to families of theirs friends. All Boni Pueri�s boys are taking back home beautiful experiences.

�iauliai, the 3rd largest city in Lithuania, is welcoming �good boys� on schools of arts� festival in these days. Czech choir school is already worldwide known and Boni Pueri�s director Pavel Hor�k is going to present there unique system of singers� education. Boni Pueri has firstly met Lithuanian choir Dagilelis on the international boys� choir festival in Poland. Dagilelis has also received a lot of Europian awards. Collective concert will take place in St. Peter�s and St. Paul�s Cathedral in Siauliai. After a short summer break, Boni Pueri is going to record Jan Jakub Ryba�s Czech Christmas Mass on August.

Canadian composer, educator and choirmaster Stephen Hatfield visited Friday�s rehearsal. Stephen Hatfield said that Boni Pueri is in his artistic interest. On Thursday 19th May in the morning a specially dispatched Gustav Mahler Express went from Prague Main Station He drove down nearly 500 musicians, who were applauded the evening before the departure the sold out O2 arena after Mahler's gigantic Symphony of Thousands, conducted by German conductor Christoph Eschenbach at the 100th anniversary of Mahler�sdeath. Management of the Prague Spring Festival for the first time in history has prepared this ambitious project. That is an extraordinary achievement, which requires in addition to the stellar cast and great organizational background, confirmsone of the producers of the international team Daniel Sobotka: "The project was preparing for four years. It must begin with the idea, then in the calendars of all potential performers to align production details.�
The director and choirmaster of the Czech Boys Choir Boni pueri Pavel Hor�k just before departure answered some questions of the journalists. The choir traveled together with other artists, including their contemporaries from Knabenchor Hannover. "We're leaving for Germany with great anticipation. A Mahler�s work we don�t meet for the first time. One yoear ago, we participated at the gala concert MahlerGala to the 150th anniversary of his birth. Exacting Mahler�s scores can be studied without knowledge of historical context. That�s why we cooperate with PhDr. Ji�� tilec, a perfect musicologist and a great teacher,� adds Pavel Hor�k.
The 8th Symphony can the audience hear on Friday in Hamburg and in the acoustic version on Saturday in Hannover, too. All transfer documents German television. In Hamburg were sold over 9500 tickets. It is expected that the monumental Mahler�s Symphony of Thousands will be heard and seen by more than 17000 people.

Boni pueri lighted up on the biggest concert in the history of the Prague Spring, 4500 excited hearers applauded them

Two orchestras, six choirs, soloists - almost 500 participants from 13 countries rised to the podium in Prague�s O2 Arena in the largest concert program in the history of the Prague Spring ever. With the last notes of a monumental 8th Symphony of Gustav Mahler, which was conducted by an excellent German Conductor Christoph Eschenbach, the audience began to applaud and to appreciate the performance of artists. On Wednesday, the Prague Spring Festival reminded the centenary anniversary of Gustav Mahler�s death. This unique event in the history of the festival was already several months in the interest of Czech and foreign media.
"We were approached to perform this monumental work by the production of the Prague Spring and we were happy to accept this offer. It's a great challenge for us and also a huge responsibility. This concert belongs to our gold fond and it will be very difficult to find some bigger challenge. Mahler's 8th symphony is a noble work, the author himself called it his greatest and unearthly,� says director and choirmaster of the Czech Boys Choir Boni pueri Pavel Hor�k.
For this project were also invited the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, North German Radio Orchestra from Hamburg, Knabenchor Hannover, Prague Philharmonic Choir, K�hn�s Mixed Choir, Schleswig-Holstein Festival Choir from L�beck and North German Radio Choir. For the solo parts have been approached, inter alia, Simona Houda-�aturova, Michael Kaune Petra Lang, Michael Nagy and John Relyea.
"The matter of principal is that Mahler created a symphony, where the main instrument is the human voice. This aspect of humanity is most important to me. The work has an incredible spiritual dimension and I am glad that I can cooperate with the world's great orchestras and choirs. It's a great pleasure for me and Mahler would be glad that his music brings together the nations, "said the conductor Ch. Eschenbach.
The "Good boys" have experienced wonderful moments after the concert, when this energetic conductor stepped out from the stage directly into the labyrinth of dressing rooms of artists, and despite being continuously contacted with a request to interview or photograph, he looked for their dress room at first.
"You're the first whom I�d like to thank and I'm going to pass a real compliment. Boni pueri were great, excellent throughout the whole time and joining exactly, thank you. Huge thanks to you, Mr conductor, " he said with a symbolic bow and already he agreed to a photo. Appreciation was given to thirty best soprano and altos of the choir by the solo singer Simona Houda-�aturov�, who already cooperated in the past with our choir.
Mahler�s Symphony of Thousands, how the work is also called, the organizers moved because of its space heftiness into the unconventional O2 Arena. "The space of the arena is comparable to the three churches of St. Vitus and six congress halls of the Prague Congress Centre," says a representative of the festival production. Due to space, the soloist had to be good sounded. This is something new for the classical music, too.
"Something so impressive here in the Czech Republic still has not happened - I mean to sound five hundred performers. All work was discussed with the Hamburg radio engineers, who are responsible for "mixing" the orchestras, and above all, of course, supervised the conductor Christoph Eschenbach," said Ing. Pavel Jesensk�, whose team has ensured sound.
Wednesday's performance of Mahler�s Symphony of Thousands would enthuse the composer. He was one of uncompromising conductors, who could not tolerate unprofessionalism of the musicians. In the Vienna Opera, he earned the nickname "monster". All the people had to be prepared perfectly and they had to work hardly and flawless. In the case of the Prague�s performance of the symphony both things were filled, as the report on the site www.ct24.cz says. Among the spectators were many foreigners, and Czech musicians like the violinist Pavel �porcl and the harpest Kate�ina Englichov�.
A dream of a giant and nations joining Symphony of Thousands, which came up in the team of the Prague Spring four years ago, was during the intensive preparations turned from ambitions and wishes into a monumental concert with star performers. Due to an incredible enthusiasm, concentration and professionalism as a director of the Prague Spring Festival Roman B�LOR, this year's dramatic Antonin Matzner, production managers, of which mention or at least Ji�� Konop�sek or Daniel Sobotka, and their colleagues we could see an unique experience.
The largest concert in the history of the Prague Spring Festival confirmed the composer's optimistic words: "My time will come." Work with such great spiritual dimension can be understood as a challenge to the modern world to return to these values.

"Good Boys" started a set of rehearsals to perform the 8th Symphony of Gustav Mahler at the Prague Spring

Today began demanding rehearsals to perform the monumental 8th Symphony of Gustav Mahler. A unique project that the organizers of the Prague Spring Festival prepared for this year, will present this work on the largest concert in the history of this prestigious festival.
As well as another foreign artists, thirty best sopranos and altos of the Czech Boys Choir Boni pueri are housed in a luxury four-star Clarion Hotel. They are preparing for the performance until late evening hours. Excellent conductor Christoph Eschenbach, whose literally "demonic" power was appreciated by the artists filled the whole hall of Rudolfinum, puts brain to every choir and to the smallest details. On the rehearsals participate besides Boni pueri the Knabenchor Hannover, K�hn Mixed Choir, Prague Philharmonic Choir and Schleswig-Holstein Festival Choir, this will be complete by the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and the NDR Sinfonieorchester from Hamburg, Germany. Everything is focused by the Czech and German Televisions. The concert, which starts on the 18th May, you can hear live on Czech Radio 3 Vltava at 20:00.

The Czech Boys Choir Boni pueri will perform at the biggest concert in the history of the Prague Spring

Today, in the Smetana Hall of Municipal House, will be inaugurated the 66th year of the prestigious Prague Spring Festival. In the center of attention throughout the world of music is primarily the performance of the 8th Symphony in E flat major by Gustav Mahler, which should commemorate the centennial of the composer's death. In respect of the quantity of the performing artists the 8th Symphony of Gustav Mahler is one of the biggest works of the classical music ever. Because of the giant musician�s and singer�s powers the symphony will often be called �Symphonya of Thousands�.
"On the anniversary of the death, on 18th May on a gala ceremony will be performed the monumental 8th Symphony of Gustav Mahler, where besides the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra will also participate another big orchestra, the NDR Sinfonieorchester from Hamburg, Germany. Besides an international group of vocal soloists the Prague Pjhilharmonic Choir, chiors from Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein and our czech boys� choir Boni pueri will participate on this concert,� said one of the organizers Pavel Trojan.
Because of the space demandingness (in one moment there will be about 600 musicians and singers on the stage) the concert will be held for the first time in the history of the Prague Spring Festival in Prague�s O2 Arena. Since Saturday the 14th May take place demanding rehearsals, so the soprano and alto singers from the Czech Boys Chor Boni pueri �moved� for a week to Prague. Together with the another artists the �good boys� move after the Prague�s concert with a special train to Hamburg and then to Hannover, Germany, where they please the German audience with Mahler�s 8th Symphony, too. All the concerts and the transfer will be documented by the Czech Radio and German television.
